Steve Blake Concreting: found on Google without paying for clicks
A concreting business whose customers search when they need a job done. We built its organic search presence so it shows up for those searches without an ad budget.
- SEO

The client
Steve Blake Concreting. Steve Blake Concreting has been pouring driveways, paths and slabs since 1989. Work comes from people searching for a concreter nearby, so that is where the marketing goes.
The need
Concreting is searched for, not scrolled past.
- Local, urgent demand. Customers search when they need a concreter, usually close to home.
- No budget to waste. For a small operator every dollar has to come back as work.
- Invisible online. The website was not showing up for the searches that matter.
The plan
Local search first
Target the service and suburb searches that turn into quotes.
Improve the website
Site improvements inside the SEO package, so it could rank and convert.
No Meta spend
Social ads would interrupt people who are not looking. The money goes into search instead.
The execution
Local keyword research
We mapped the services and suburbs people actually search for and built the site around them.
Website improvements
The existing site was improved as part of the SEO work, so it loads properly and answers the questions buyers ask.
Steady, ongoing SEO
Monthly work on content and local signals, so rankings compound over time.
The results
Organic search now brings in about 92 visits a month, 63% of all traffic to the site, and the client reports more than 10 enquiries a month. Conversion tracking is not set up on this site yet, so the enquiry figure is the client's count, not a measured one.
The conclusion
For a small trade business, 92 organic visits a month is a steady stream of local people already looking for a concreter, and none of them cost a click.
Traffic figures from the client's Google Analytics 4 property, 29 August to 25 September 2026. Enquiries are client reported, as conversion tracking is not yet configured.
